V. BRUCE, Development
Rodney Bruce joined the company in 2016.
Prior to joining Silvergate Development he was in the
construction management department of one of the largest
general contractors in California. There he served as
an onsite project manager in the healthcare division,
where he provided leadership and oversaw budgets, contracts,
and construction operations.
His professional experience includes working
on project management teams, for numerous San Diego projects.
These teams oversaw construction of new patient bed towers,
central utility plants, and existing hospital lab renovations
and tenant improvements. Prior to working in project management,
Mr. Bruce worked with one of the nation's largest general
contractors as a field administration manager. There he
was involved with projects such as airport terminal expansions,
renovations, and heavy civil bridge infrastructure. Altogether,
Mr. Bruce has been involved with the management and construction
of projects totaling over $1.4 billion.
Mr. Bruce is a LEED AP (2009), and is a
member of NAIOP and ULI San Diego chapters. He has a B.S.
in Construction Administration, with a minor in Business
Administration, from Northern Arizona University, a Master
of Science in Real Estate from the University of San Diego,
and an M.B.A from the University of San Diego.
